House passes bill to reauthorize E-Verify until September 30, 2009
Yesterday, the House passed a $410 billion spending bill (H.R. 1105) which would reauthorize the E-Verify program through September 30, 2009. Currently, the E-Verify program is set to expire on March 6, 2009. The bill now moves on to the Senate for consideration.
